Chef ‘n Thyme has used Service Excellence since 2018. I am thrilled to have a company situated in the midlands, so close to most of the weddings we do. Throughout the years I have seen each and every  staff member grow significantly. Nicky has put in extra hours to teach her staff the best service possible that she learnt from her yachting experience.

Nicky’s staff members do not just help with waitressing but they are also happy to help with kitchen tasks as well as cleaning. It is great to have a team that can be so diverse!

Nicky truly knows how to run her staff and when she’s present it takes so much pressure off the kitchen as she basically becomes an ‘events coordinator’ to me and informs me what’s happening outside the kitchen.

Morning Nicola, I just have to say that Josh and Cara were absolutely outstanding on Saturday. All our guests were blown away by their service and personalities. within a few hours they knew all our guests by names and what they were drinking. They happily cleared glasses and plates which was not expected of them or asked. Josh ensured my drink was never empty and would come find me to give me my new drink. I don’t actually recall having to go to the bar at all. When it was time for them to leave, they set up the honesty bar inside for us as the party had moved inside. I actually don’t have the words to explain how much they contributed to our amazing and special day! — thanks

Their impeccable manners, attention to serving and clearing plates and glassware, their good spirits has had a long lasting impression on me. Our daughter was recently married on a private farm in the Midlands. As we were planning the event ourselves, I did not see any need for an official ‘wedding planner’ as such, however a friend who had recently undertaken the same thing for her own daughters suggested that on the actual day of the wedding, as Mom-of-the-Bride, you don’t want to be constantly interrupted with logistics etc. This is where Nicky and her team came into the picture. She was nothing short of amazing. We employed her to run the actual day – take care of all last minute snags, supply the waitering staff, a cleaner to take care of the toilets, a baby-sitter for our guests with small children and to make sure that everything ran smoothly and on time. Her staff were excellent – friendly, warm, professional and skilled. Nicky herself went the extra mile – nothing was too big an ask, she came early and left late and made sure that the day ran without incident. She was worth her weight in gold.
